About this job
Head of IT Infrastructure
Many businesses were forced into rapidly adopting to home working this year and this swift change has led to the need for significant investment into new internal IT Infrastructures capable of supporting this new way of working and providing staff with a safe, secure and resilient home working solution.
Our Glasgow based client has now identified the need for a new Head of internal IT Infrastructure to modernise their existing systems and implement cloud based solutions across the business.
This role really does represent a fantastic challenge to update the existing systems to meet immediate needs of the business across the full ICT function while also developing a long term strategic technology roadmap.
The systems are in a high availability environment with no room for down time, so this role is best suited to a well organised person able to plan carefully and have an adaptable approach to working since many of the projects will need to be implemented and tested out of hours to minimise disruption to the business.
In return for your ability to deliver this complex and business critical role you'll be rewarded with a generous salary and benefits package. The business would like you to bring the following:
Skills and capabilities:
-Demonstrable experience in a similar role
-Ability to advise on the future direction of complex IT infrastructures
-Previous experience in high demand call centre / service centre environments
-Excellent people management skills with the ability to encourage teams to deliver excellence
-Full budget management and control
-A keen interest in current and emerging technology and it's impact on the business
-Expert knowledge of enterprise scale Unified Communication systems
-A flexible approach to work with planned "out of hours" implementations
This is a great outline of what's expected in this role. For further information and to have an initial confidential conversation please send your CV to Chris who'll be happy to help.
