Graduate Software Engineer - Mobile and Algorithms
|Posted on||22nd March 2020|
About this job
Are you a recent graduate with a keen interest in data?
Would you like to kick-start your career by gaining invaluable experience at a cutting edge start-up tackling the climate emergency via a world-class mobile product?
Bright Purple are proud to be working in partnership with a "tech-for-good", as they build upon recently secured funding to develop a mobile app which will allow each of us to monitor and manage our carbon footprint.
Ideally, you will be a recent graduate with a strong grounding in software/mobile engineering.
You will get the chance to work with a variety of unstructured data, designing and implementing algorithms, as well as carrying out R+D type activities to produce innovative new prototypes.
This is a role for a natural problem-solver. There will be little specification to work from. Rather, you will use your skills in maths and software engineering to explore how real-world datasets on human behaviour can be collated and then used to enhance the accuracy of forecasting and predictions. As part of this, you will get to build out the back-end services of the mobile app.
We strongly encourage you to apply for an initial discussion with us if you have the following experience:
*A final-year BSc (or Masters) project involving data processing, algorithms or statistical classification
*Development of mobile (Android and/or iOS) applications
We are looking for somebody to straight away, as there is an ambitios product roadmap.
