Who are the Stroke Association?
The Stroke Association are Bright Purple’s chosen charity, and an organisation close to our hearts. 100,000 people have a stroke every year, and the Stroke Association do phenomenal work in supporting stroke survivors and their families.
From funding vital research, campaigning for improvements in Stroke care, and providing their own helpline and support services, the Stroke Association aim to make lives better for existing and future Stroke survivors every year.
Competition time: Star Bakers!
Being a sales office we also decided to add a competitive element to the bake sale. When all the votes were counted and verified we were delighted to crown James Taylor and Renate Hansen as winners of best Savoury and Sweet dish respectively. Very well deserved!
Of course, the real winners were the Stroke Association: thanks to the general donations and sales of our bakes on the day, we raised £150 for the charity!
How can I support the Stroke Association?
There are many ways you can support the Stroke Association, from a simple donation to hosting your own fundraising event. There are a host of great ideas on their website, or get your thinking cap on and come up with something completely unique!
