Bright Purple's Glasgow based client have an excellent opportunity for a talented Infrastructure Solutions Designer with a strong hands-on technical background with cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.

Applications are invited from candidates who may currently be working in the following roles - Technical lead, Senior Analyst, Technical Project Manager and are interested in progressing into a Solutions Designer's role.

The role sits within the Infrastructure Projects Delivery team that is responsible for the future delivery and change of the IT infrastructure. The solutions they deliver are transitioned to their Operational teams to provide ongoing support.

You will work with the Infrastructure Architect to gather requirements for future changes to shape designs in both new and existing technologies. You will then work with Project Managers to make sure technical resources can implement the solutions you design. Having hands-on infrastructure design experience you will be familiar with implementing design direction and decisions and are comfortable guiding and coaching other technical specialists to ensure consistent quality.

You will ensure that designs are delivered to agreed timelines and budget, delivering business requirements that are aligned to strategic infrastructure architecture, roadmaps, standards and policies.

You will bring industry aligned skills and knowledge to influence the direction of solution design with the organisation and provide technical leadership. Ultimately helping the company to be a fast adopter of tested infrastructure and through greater and efficient usage achieve its business results.

You will have experience with delivery focused infrastructure solutions or infrastructure development including. Proven technical background at a senior level. Experience of infrastructure design governance and execution.

Key Experience Includes -

*Ability to provide detailed infrastructure designs to industry best practices for solutions hosted in Public / Private Cloud
*Low level infrastructure design practices, standards and governance
*Practical infrastructure automation skills and experience delivering infrastructure-as-code into Azure
*Best practices within infrastructure design and data security
*Server OS platforms including Microsoft Windows Server
*Experience designing and supporting complex network solutions in a large organization
*Advance knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, Telephony, Storage & Backup
*Configuration and administration of Firewalls, switches, routers, and Cisco
*Cloud first mindset with experience of migrating on prem services to the cloud, including road mapping
*Experience working within Agile & Waterfall project methodologies
*Large scale or complex IT environment experience
*Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively influence others
