We currently recruiting for an exciting permanent role for an applications Developers based in Glasgow.
Our client is a highly successful company, that has continued to develop its presence across the UK and the rest of the world

The Primary purpose of this role is to develop business application solutions within the company to defined best practices such as behaviour driven development (BDD).
The Successful candidate will play an integral role in developing services and other integration components allowing the hiring company to provide a platform for the integration of their key systems.
This is an opportunity for a highly skilled and proficient C# .NET developer. This role will give you exposure to web development, Microsoft Azure, and server-side integration and orchestration platforms on an Enterprise scale.

Key responsibilities:

*Developing applications on C#, .NET/ASP.NET MVC/Azure/HTML5/Angular JS on time and to budget.
*Liaising with members of the development team, other departments within ATS and internal customers to determine requirements and produce technical specifications.
*Providing comprehensive documentation on all deliverable.
*Defining & documenting business processes related to the applications.
*Any other duties as determined by the application development team lead.

Person Specification:

Professional skills/experience

*Solid experience of .Net: C# and ASP.Net MVC programming; HTML / CSS/ JavaScript / AJAX / JQuery, Angular JS and IIS.
*Strong database development skills; you should have database design experience, be proficient in writing SQL stored procedures, functions, assemblies etc. and understand the concepts of database performance tuning.
*Experience of one or more integration or orchestration systems would be an advantage.
*You should be able to demonstrate a strong track record in designing and building new applications as well as with maintaining and improving existing ones
*Experience of the full lifecycle of software development - analysis, design, build, test and deploy - is essential. A history of delivering solutions in an enterprise level environment is essential.
*Ability to communicate technical concepts to a diverse audience
*Experience of working in a fast moving/challenging environment; exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies would be advantageous; knowledge of using Microsoft ALM / VSTS tools for continuous integration and continuous deployment would be advantageous.

Personal skills/experience

The successful individual will be a motivated self-starter who is comfortable working within a team but who has the ability to work on an individual basis when required. Excellent communication,
Organisational, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills are essential.


*Qualified to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience
*Relevant Microsoft certifications would be an advantage
