Front End Team Lead Permanent
Are you an experienced Team Lead with excellent knowledge of Front End technology who is looking for a new challenge?
Would you like to lead the team React Developers that is developing great user interfaces?
You will drive the Agile product team, and take responsibility for the team delivery of Sprint goals across front and back end requirements.
You will also set the direction and standard for the team as well as mentoring and guiding individuals.
You should have significant experience in web development, including experience of React and experience of leading a team.
*Team leadership for the Applications team, including driving delivery for the team through Agile Sprints.
*Stakeholder engagement & co-ordination with product managers.
*Technical ownership of Front End Architecture and Design.
*Planning and breakdown of high level goals to deliverable work.
*Co-ordinate with back-end teams to ensure API contracts are agreed and efficient.
*Provide mentorship and training to junior members of the team.
*Set standards for the team in React development and use of Agile and lead by example.
*Develop a suite of components that can be used across multiple Web Apps.
*Look for opportunities to optimise and improve performance and UX.
*Create high quality, well tested code, deploy it to production and see your work used immediately.
*Evolve Web Applications to keep pace with continuously improving backend capabilities and new client requirements.
*Champion Continuous Delivery and Automation testing within the team.
*Keep up to date with emerging web technologies and application development techniques.
Key skills required:
*Experience of our Tech Stack - React, RXJS, Redux, Typescript.
*Experience with NodeJS.
*Experience of leading a development team.
*Understanding of Gateways and CDN: API Gateway or Apigee / Cloudfront or cloudflare.
*Good understanding of HTML5, CSS and tools and approaches for realising UX designs.
*Understanding of cloud platforms and deployment, ideally on AWS.
*Dedication to quality code with commitment to testing and continuous improvement
