We have an exciting opportunity for a Test Manager based in Edinburgh.
Our client is one of the leading financial services employers in the region at present and they are looking for a Test Manager on a permanent basis.
The Test Manager will ensure the test services practice is equipped with the right people, skills, tools, processes, vendors and third parties. They will ensure the practice operates within agreed budgets and headcounts across specific portfolios.
Responsibilities of the role
Responsible for all aspects of performance management for their team
Responsible for line management of 15 employees within the testing delivery area
Resource planning and ensuring that the right skills are in place to meet business requirements
Performance management and responsible for appraisals, yearly reviews, disciplinarians and various other ad hoc HR duties as required
Supporting the team with personal and skills development and succession planning for stakeholders
Supporting the wider group technology & change practice and sharing best practice/process improvements
What we're looking for
A strong people manager who has a background who has managing large teams
A background in testing ideally from a delivery and management perspective
Strong experience in system development and process improvement
Ability to influence and drive change across projects
A strong commercial background and comfortable negotiating with 3rd party suppliers
Skills that will help you in the role
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to multi task and work closely to a number of internal and external stakeholders
Experience in conducting performance management, personal development and recruitment activity
Comfortable being responsible and accountable for project areas previously
